Saturday was race 6 of the Club’s Annual Grand Prix series. 52 BRC members descended onto Newbiggin-by-the -Sea promenade ready to take on parkrun! 39 of which were taking part in the GP!
It was marvelous to see a sea of green and white vests as the runners took on the long upward incline as Stampy caught it all on camera! Not only did they have this hill to contend with, there was a sneaky incline at the tennis courts before a route back to the turnaround point meaning they had to repeat the beastly ramps! Whilst our athletes were competing against each other, it is evident that there is a strong team spirit as everyone encouraged one another!
This is what BRC is all about! Huge congratulations to all that ran! We had new to course runners and 19 course PBs!
