Become a Coach

Blyth Running Club relies on qualified coaches and run leaders to provide regular organised sessions for club members of all abilities.  Their unwavering commitment allow members to progress in their running goals within a controlled, safe running environment with like minded runners.  Blyth Running Club are always looking to increase the size of their coaching team, if you are interested in joining please speak to one of the existing coaches.  Further information is available HERE.

Coaching Team

Blyth Running Club currently have seven eight coaches/run leaders and six junior coaches.  As well as organising and delivering the club training sessions the coaches are happy to provide individual structured training plans for any member who is looking to ‘peak’ for a key race.  Click HERE to meet the coaches.

Training Sessions

We meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings at various locations in and around Blyth, the main session starting at 7pm with an optional warm-up beginning at 6:45.  Sessions are designed to be suitable for everyone, we have members at ‘the sharp end of races’ while others run just for fun or simply to keep fit.

Formed soon after the first Great North Run, and affiliated to the then AAA in December 1983, we are based at the sports centre in Blyth, south-east Northumberland near to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.
