15 members completed the race and it delivered what was promised, a potential PB course which several of those taking part managed to grab.
Although not much on view mainly due to the mist, it was nice to be able to see your teammates on the double lap out & back route
Congratulations go to Alex Robertson becoming the 1st divisional winner for 2024 leading Team Blyth home in 1hr 22.
Will Brindley and Stu Smith also coming home under the 1hr 30 mark and unable to be separated.
Several mini races developed in the main race, Shaun Morris continuing his fine form and pulling away from myself & Kandis Watson to grab the extra point to move joint top in division 3.
David Stamp was a happy lonely Division 4 runner bagging full points and moving level with Nikki Courtney at the top of Division 4
Leanne Wittering lead the charge home for Division 5 , closing the gap behind Susan Browning to just 2 points. Lee Anderson pipped Sue on the day to move to just 3 points off the lead.
Division 6 had Claire Mason leaving late, but gradually caught Alyson Lyonette with a well paced race strategy in the closing miles to grab top spot and now favourite for the division, just needing to finish Kielder.
Division 7 had 3 starters and only 2 finishers with Anita Dabbs wisely listening to her body and stepping off course around half way round, this gave Anne Craddock the boost to complete a strong run and bag top spot and move clear at the top.
special mention to Stacey Short coming in with a massive 9 minute PB and moving into 3rd place in the division.
