Grand Prix Race 5 – Angel View 5.5M (up to 10k Category)
May saw two races take place in the GP and a review of the Divisions before the Angel view race. I think it’s safe to say that from the feedback and comments I have seen the race was not most people’s favorite. A tough 5.5 mile with many a climb and rain at points.
This however did not stop us all from pushing through to the finish line.
In division 1 David Bennett took 1st place with a good strong performance from Stuart Smith making his debut after promotion to division 1 placing him currently in 2nd place overall in there.
Division 2 saw David shields take maximum points again with newly promoted Simon Clough running well in to 2nd place seeing him share 2nd place overall in the division with John Younger.
Division 3 saw Shaun Morris take the victory with a great run between him and the skipper Steve Dobby. Look forward to seeing these 2 battling it out in coming races.
Division 5 Allan England was first home and looked very strong throughout the run as he goes from strength to strength. He was followed home by Alison French who put in an outstanding effort especially after returning from injury.
Well done to everyone who ran. Next up is the Newcastle HM in July
