MMM 2025
Michael’s Mad Marathon Saturday 28th June 2025
This was the 6th running of MMM and we had a record number of runners, 68 started on the day. The event involved running from South Beach to Seaton Sluice 4.5 miles every hour on the hour, with the masses beginning at 8am and runners had to complete as many laps as they could with the last lap finishing at 9pm.
This year a few runners wanted to attempt 14 laps (63 miles, 100K), so I set them off at the earlier time of 7am. 2 runners actually completed the 100k and one runner finished by running their last lap in under 33 minutes, amazing! See attached stats of the day.
We had a couple of Blyth juniors doing a lap with their mam’s, which was lovely to see. It was great to see so many of our members running and they all had personal goals and aims.
All of the money raised from the event is going to a charity called Manhealth, as suicide is the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK.
It was a fantastic day spent with wonderful people and a huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this happen.
Roll on 2026 and the 7th MMM.
