runners (3 down from race 1) for race 2 of the 2022/23 winter Series
competition. Fortunately the snow and
ice had left us, although the course was beginning to become a frosty in
places. Winner on the night was Mark Nicholson with a clock time of
28:31, finishing just over 4 minutes in front of second placed Rachel
Danielson who was a further 30 seconds ahead of Rose Boldon
in third. Forty three runners finished
within 30 seconds of the “scratch” handicap time of 35 minutes. Team
winners on the night were “Girls Are Loud” with 69pts, followed home by “Just
Bin Running” and “Bickerton’s
Bounders” on 88 and 106pts respectively.
“Bickerton’s Bounders” now lead the team
competition, having amassed 51pts, with “Just Bin
Running” and “Baby Got Track” close on their heels
with 47 and 43pts. Fastest finisher and setting a new female course record in the process
was Rachelle Falloon, recording a time of 14:18,
first male was Paul Norvell in 14:54. Many thanks to Tony, the Handicapper (Stig),
