The third race in this season's five race Winter Series was held
on Wednesday 7th January, although mild there was a strong blustery wind for the
53 runners to contend with on the 2.5 mile course. First
back, and recording his first win in the Winter Series, was Calum Storey, who was just 5 seconds in front of second
placed Sam Dodd , with Paul Whalley 2 seconds
further back in third. First team were " R n R " with 79pts and in second
place were "Aye Up Me Duck" on 98 points. " R n R " now have a total of
70pts in the overall team competition (from two firsts and a second in the 3
races so far), some 28pts in front of second placed "French and Saunterers" on 42pts with "McCabes
Mafia" and "Aye Up Me Duck" in joint third a further 3pts
behind. Fastest finisher was Jon French in a time of 14:20, Jude Nutt
was fastest lady with 16:34. Many
thanks to the two Daves, The Handicapper (Stig) and all the helpers on the night. Next
race Wednesday 4th February. - A request from the organisers, if you are
injured and cannot run please consider coming down to help on the night as
without such help the race would not be able to take place. |
