For the first time this series the 59 runners who turned out to
run in race 3 were greeted by perfect conditions, demonstrated by the fact
that of the 51 runners who were running their second or third race, 43 of
them recorded season's best times. First back was Alison Lowes, followed at regular intervals by
Richard Shillinglaw, Andrea Scott and Claire Calverley before a bit of a gap until the bulk of the
runners came through, all of the first four ran over a minute quicker than
previously. First team was "RnR" with 48
points, followed closely by "Alison's Aces" on 59pts (the third
time in the three races they have finished in second place) and "Aye Up
Me Duck" with 62pts. "Alison's
Aces" are now leading the team competition outright with 60 pts, "RnR" are second on 52pts and in joint third on 49pts
are "Hot Tottie" and "Disciples of
Keith". Fastest finisher on the night was Bradley Clough in a time of
13:34, the fastest recorded time for a while, with Jon French also dipping
under 14 minutes (just) with 13:59; Leanne Herron was once again fastest
female in a time of 15:41. We had 40 runners finishing within a minute and 54 within two
minutes. As always many thanks to the
