SUMMER CUP 2014  RESULTS  RACE 2

An excellent turnout of 59 runners took part in the second race of this year's Summer Cup series, a 4 km handicapped series of 6 races along the coastal cycle path at Blyth beach. First back with a comfortable victory was Hayley Raithby in a clock time of 23:42, with Andrea Scott making it two races - two second places some 30 seconds adrift, just 2 seconds further back in third was Mark Ponton. Early leaders in the team event are "Run DMC", with their second consecutive victory giving them the maximum 50 points after 2 races, in second place on 35 points are "Ay Up Me Duck" and "MPFree Runners" are third on 28 points. Quickest on the night was Bradley Clough in a time of 13:39 and fastest female was Emma James with 16:38. Thanks from the organisers to all the marshals, timekeepers and helpers. Next race is Wednesday July 30th, start time 7:15 pm.  Be there early for any number collecting and Race Instructions.
