SUMMER CUP 2012  RESULTS  RACE 1

In the first race of this year's Summer Cup series, a 4 km handicapped series of 6 races, a total of 51 runners started and finished the course, along the coastal cycle path. First back was new member Ann Craddock, just beating fast finishing Louise Rawlinson by 4 seconds, with Ron Ingram a distant 40 seconds further back in third place.. For the first race in the series where handicapping is notoriously hard it was good to see 40 runners finishing within a 70 second window. The early leaders in the team event are "R n R", who have 25pts, with "French & Saunterers" and "Shaun The Sheep" second and third on 20 and 15 points respectively. Fastest male Jake Jansen in 13:59 and fastest female Julie Clark with 16:19. Thanks from the organisers to all the marshals, timekeepers and helpers.
