NE Masters Track and Field Champs 2015

The 2015 Northeast Masters Track and Field Champs were held Saturday 27th June at Monkton Stadium, Jarrow.

Blyth Masters track and field athletes were in action and scooped up a total of 11 medals between them. Medals were awarded for the first 3 in each 5 year veteran age category.

Jon French: M35- gold in 400m and 5000m, silver in 800m and 1500m.

Sharon Richardson: L50- silver in shot, discus and javelin, gold in hammer.

Helen Morris: L50- bronze in 800m,1500m,3000m.

Jon French set a new M35 Championship Record in the 400m of 57.6

Sharon Richardson set a new L50 Championship Record in the hammer of 26.06

Altogether it was a very rewarding and enjoyable day of athletics.
