Summer Cup Report 2014

Congratulations to Louise Rawlinson, the overall winner of a tightly contested 2013 Summer Cup with a total score of 35 pts from her scoring finishes of 3rd, 6th, 7th and 19th.  Louise ran in all 6 races and recorded very consistent results with only 30 seconds between her slowest and fastest times. Only 3 pts behind in joint second place with 38 pts were Andrea Scott (2nd, 2nd, 14th and 20th) and new member Alfred Margison (2nd, 3rd, 5th and 28th).  Due to other commitments Andrea missed the last race of the season otherwise the results may have been different.  

The team event saw a win for "Aye Up Me Duck", which consisted of Claire Calverley, David Bradley, Mark Ponton, David Roberts, Adam Robinson and Dale Smith.  Hovering between second and third for the first 4 races, 2 wins in the final 2 races gained them first place after the final race with a total of 117 pts.  In a close second place, on 112 pts, were "Run DMC", and in third with 80 pts were "Alison’s Aces".

The fastest male and female recorded times were both in race 3 with Bradley Clough and Emma James recording 13:31 and 16:08 respectively.

Many thanks to the organisers, marshals, timekeepers and helpers without whose time and effort the event couldn't take place.
