East Northumberland Schools X-C

East Northumberland Schools held their annual Cross Country trials at Woodhorn Colliery on Tuesday 17th December, the first 16 in each race then qualify to represent East Northumberland at the County Championships at Temple park, South Shields in January.

Several Blyth juniors were running in the trials and those who qualified for the next round are as follows.

Josh Fiddaman came first in the Y7 boys race and Anya Christopher and Megan Bird were 3rd and 6th in the Y7 girls race respectively. The year 8/9 boys race saw Taylor Glover (2nd), Connor Marshall (9th) and Adam Swalwell (14th) all qualify, as did Emma James (3rd) and Alice Dungworth (7th) in the Y10/11 girls. Finally James Young was third in the Y10/11 boys race.

Well done to all those who took part and especially the qualifiers for the next round.
