Sherman Cup / Davison Shield

[22-Oct-2011] On a sunny but windy day we saw the cross country season head to Temple Park, South Shields for the Sherman Cup / Davison Shield scratch races; no packs this time!

With just under 300 runners in the Senior/Vets men's race Blyth managed to field the required 6 runners mainly thanks to Ralph, who had already run 6 miles earlier in the morning.

In the U17 boys race Scott had a good run to finish 10th and Jake is gradually improving following his return from injury.

In the combined boys/girls U11's race we had 3 runners, with Connor and Taylor finishing 7th and 8th respectively. Jessica, although finishing 15th, was impressive in finishing as 4th girl.

In the Senior/Vets women's race, Heather had another great race following her 3rd place at Cramlington earlier in the Month. Heather was ably supported by Helen, Phillippa, Hayley and Julie as the ladies finished 9th out of 18 teams on the day.
