County Schools Final

On a cold, wet, windy day at Gateshead, several of Blyth Juniors represented East North in the Northumberland Schools county Final . And two, Rebecca and Charlotte, returned home as County Champions.

Rebecca continues to improve in the Triple Jump and easily won the competition as she again set a pb, Rebecca had earlier finished in third place in the 800M. In only her third outing at 200m, Charlotte won the final form the inside lane, while she had earlier finished in 4th place in her 800 metres race.

Chris Lillico was second in both his events, the High Jump and set a club record in the 400 metres. Kalvin also finished second in the long jump having previously finished in 6th position in the 1500 metres. These athlete will all go through and represent Northumberland in the Inter-Counties. Other notable performances were, Bethan Sproat equalling the Club High Jump record while finishing third in the High Jump, she also finished in 4th position in the triple jump, while Chris Sheffer and Mattie Jackson both finished in 6th position in the 800M and 1500M respectively.
