If you are interested in
coaching junior athletes then please read on.
England Athletics have
put together some workshops to address some common requests the team are
hearing in our travels around the various clubs in the region.
Due to the fine work the
clubs and Athletics Networks are doing in the area, and with the 2012 Olympics
just 613 days away, more and more youngsters are choosing to get involved in
athletics. To ensure a consistently high quality of service to these
youngsters, England Athletics have develop a club resource called “Athletics
365”. Many of you will have heard about it and be aware of how it can be used
to develop your junior sections into fun, vibrant places for young people to
come and try a multi-discipline approach to developing athleticism and athletic
skill.
To ensure the highest
standards of delivery, the 4 workshops we have been asked by you, the clubs, to
provide are detailed below:
Ø
An Introduction to Athletics 365
Ø
Fundamental Movement Skills
Ø
Positive Behaviour Management
Ø
Physical Preparation & Conditioning for juniors.
