Pier to Pier

[Mon 18th May 2009] The ever popular Pier to Pier Multi terrain race was held on Sun 17th May. With a high tide, soft sand and a strong headwind in places, runners had a lot to contend with, resulting in much slower times than in recent years. Blyth runners completing the course were Martin Gaughan (41st;46:15), Graeme Stewart (133rd;50:48), Dave Bradley (166th;52:12), Dawn Palmer (282nd;55:41), Ralph Dickinson (403rd;58:01), Colin Seccombe (436th;58:46), Davina Lonsdale (469th;59:56), Julie Lemin (470th;59:56), Steve Bush (471st;59:56), Sue Walker (742nd;67:53) and Christine Willshire (827nd;71:42).
