Race 4 – MMM Two laps (9 Mile) – Sun 24th April 2022
It was a fresh sunny morning down at South Beach for the start
of MMM (2laps) race. After a quick briefing, race got underway and the run
along through the dune path was pleasant enough as the group of runners
stretched out. It wasn't until we reached the end of the dune path and headed
back to South Beach that we hit the headwind. The long path by the road from
Sluice to South Beach was hard going with no shelter from the wind.
Unfortunately there were a few dog owners who didn't have their dogs under
control and Dayle had to retire from the race after
an incident with a dog.
