7 - Tynedale 10 Mile – Sun 2nd September 2012
On
a warm, sunny day 33 of Blyth’s finest lined up for the start of the annual
Jelly Tea 10 miler from Hexham to Ovingham - by the time we had reached the
climb out of Corbridge, the temperature had risen to make this more ‘enjoyable’
than usual.
First
back for Blyth was Robbie Barkley in 36th position with a time of
1:02:23, followed by Jake Jansen (47th – 1:04:08), which was an excellent
performance for his first time at this race. First lady back was Heather
Christopher (120 – 1:12:38) who just held off Lindsey Chapman, 3 seconds
behind. Congratulations to Heather (third lady in her category) and the team of
Heather, Lindsey and Phillipa Baxter who went on to be second ladies team
overall.
