SUMMER CUP 2015  RESULTS  RACE 2

On a pleasant evening 54 club members and 3 guests turned out for the second race of five in this year's Summer Cup which, for the first time ever, was held on a Monday due to the usual Wednesday date clashing with the Newburn River Run. First back in a close finish was one of our elder statesmen, Allan Kenny who won by 3 seconds from one of our newest members Lewis Freeman with Mark Nicholson in third a further 8 seconds adrift. The current individual leader with 13pts is Gwen Forster, followed by Eleanor Shanks and Ryan Shiel on 18 and 24 pts respectively. With a third and first so far the early leaders in the team event are "Hot Tottie" on 40pts, closely followed by "The Chocolate Monsters" on 35 and "RUN DMC" on 28. Quickest on the night was again Sam Dodd in a time of 13:44 and fastest female was Leanne Herron with 16:20. Thanks from the organisers to all the marshals, timekeepers and helpers. Next race is Wednesday July 29th, start time 7:15 pm.  Be there early for any number collecting and Race Instructions.
