This year’s race saw 237 finishers, 25 down on last year’s almost record turnout of 264.  

In the absence of Ian Harding, the winner for the last 3 year’s, Graeme Cook of NSP who was second last year, took his chance and won in a time of 33:39, with his NSP club mate Scott Ellis 34 seconds adrift in second.  

First lady back and 14th overall was Stephanie MaClean-Dann also of NSP in a time of 37:54 which puts her third in the best ten female times (in fact Stephanie currently holds the record with 37:47 which she achieved in 2010).  

First Blyth finisher with a time of 37:33 was Jon French in 10th place, and the first Blyth lady to finish was Heather Christopher in 43:22.

There is only one trophy presented and this is the “Brian Stringfellow” trophy which is presented to the first Blyth veteran runner home and this was won by Dale Smith.
