Inter County Schools T&F Champs

On a windy day at Clairville Stadium, Middlesbrough, three of Blyth's juniors represented Northumberland at the Northern Inter Counties T&F Champs against competitors from Cleveland, Cumbria and Durham.  Charlotte Ramsay was third (first Northumberland runner) in both the Intermediate girls 100m and 200m finals with times of 13.3s and 27.0s respectively, being beaten by 2 girls from Cumbria in the 100m and one from Cumbria and one from Durham in the 200m.  As a consequence of these positions and the times Charlotte has been running this year she has been selected to represent Northumberland at the English Schools T&F Champs at Alexander Stadium, Birmingham on the 5/6th of July, the first girl from Blyth Running Club to achieve this - well done Charlotte.

Charlie Hedley ran in the Intermediate girls 3000m and although running a new pb and club record of 11:05.8s finished second to Phillippa Chambers who was also representing Northumberland.  Jake ran a time of 10:10.3s in finishing second in the senior boys 3000m.
