Autumn Relays 1995
The ninth running of the Autumn Relays was held on Monday the 30th of October, as usual at the Kitty Brewster Trading Estate. This is the eighth time that the event has been sponsored by the Top House pub, thanks are due to them for their continued support. Thirty-six runners (and twenty or so spectators) turned out this year, and made the most of the quite favourable conditions - cool, with only a light wind. Among the first seven times were three runners making their first appearance in the event, this was good to see. The team prize went to Team K, comprising Steve Bangs, John Mallon and Steve Gillespie in a time of 41min 47sec; only 10sec outside last year's winning time. This is Steve's third first placing in this event - one or two people have done eight events but he's the only person to have taken part in all nine of them.
