Autumn Relays - Wed 19th Oct 2022

The thirty fifth running of the Top House Autumn Relays was held on Sunday the 19th of October 2022. After the trial of running the relays on a Sunday last year the event returned to it’s normal place of a Wednesday evening and happily an increase in the numbers of teams taking part.

Congratulations go to the winning team of Michelle Castro, Martin Scott and Karl Bryce (Team P) in a total time of 51:10, with team M (Louise McNeil, Michael Ashby and Paul Norvell) in second place, 36 seconds adrift and Team S (Rod Giles, Leanne Heron and David Shields) just 10 seconds further behind. It should be noted that two teams (teams S and K) had a drop out at the last minute after all the handicaps had been calculated and two replacement runners were found, these two teams had to have an extra handicap added to allow for this change in personnel.

Michael Stott was fastest on the day with 12:33, just 3 secs faster than Richard Bateson, Michael was also fastest male vet. Rachelle Falloon was once again the quickest female with a time of 13:34.

The usual thanks to Tony, the timekeepers, Andi Capper and all their marshals/helpers for ensuring the event continues to run as smoothly as ever.
